The Saratoga Springs City Center is
celebrating the facility’s 30th anniversary
of operation this year.
The facility opened its doors in 1984. It
hosts 150 groups and organizations each
year and welcomes over 150,000 event attendees
and convention guests annually,
according to center officials.
Over the last 30 years, the facility has
been transformed for a multitude of events
including national and international conferences,
tradeshows, conventions, weddings
and civic functions, including proms,
graduations and special local events.
As part of the anniversary celebration,
the center will host complimentary meetings
for several local nonprofit organizations
throughout the year.
In addition, the City Center will partner with area establishments and agencies to showcase special exhibits, presentations and local works of art.
Officials said the highlight of the 30th anniversary will be a weekend celebration in September with an open house of community and family events and activities.
To commemorate and illustrate the anniversary, Larry Ambrosino of Ambrosino Design Inc., in Saratoga Springs, created a special logo with the tag line “Bringing People Together.” The logo will be used by the City Center and its business partners and participating organizations to promote the 30th anniversary year.
