Saratoga Casino and Raceway says its
new Downtown Business Association gift
card program is already meeting with success.
The program allows members of the
Player Extras Club to turn their points into
gift cards that are redeemable at some of
Saratoga Springs’ downtown businesses.
Launched in January, more than 90
downtown Saratoga Springs businesses
are participating in the program – including
restaurants like Gaffney’s, Lillian’s,
and Wheatfields, as well as hotels, jewelry
stores and men’s and women’s apparel
stores.
Saratoga Casino and Raceway officials
said guests have already redeemed their
winnings for hundreds of Downtown Business
Association gift cards.
“A strong partnership between Saratoga Casino and Raceway and all of the members of the Downtown Business Association is critical for our city’s vibrant downtown and for keeping our economy strong,” said Pat Finch, owner of City Tavern restaurant on Caroline Street. “The casino is obviously a huge attraction for people to come to Saratoga, and we know that once those visitors experience everything downtown has to offer, they’ll come back again and again. It’s a partnership that benefits everyone.”
Saratoga Casino and Raceway’s Player Extras Club rewards program allows guests to participate in exciting promotions, receive great offers, and earn points redeemable for free play, food and beverage at any of the casino’s dining locations, tickets to shows at Vapor Night Club and merchandise.
“Saratoga Casino and Raceway’s partnership with the Downtown Business Association and the more than 90 participating downtown businesses is one of the best ways we can reward our Player Extras Club members,” said Saratoga Casino and Raceway Senior Vice President of Marketing, Rita Cox. “We know that one of the biggest attractions for our 2.1 million visitors is the chance to visit Saratoga Springs’ outstanding downtown, which is why we’re excited about this partnership.”
The DBA gift card program is the latest in a decade of partnerships between Saratoga Casino and Raceway and the greater Saratoga Springs community. In January, Saratoga Casino and Raceway announced that the Party For A Cause charity program will be expanded in 2014 to allow 12 charitable organizations to participate.
Launched in 2011, Party for a Cause allows 501c3 organizations to use Vapor Night Club to host a fundraising event, with no rental fees. Additionally, Saratoga Casino and Raceway donates $5 for every ticketed guest, up to $1,000, allowing the organizations to raise even more money for their causes.
Over the past three years, Saratoga Casino and Raceway has donated over $10,000 to local charities through Party for a Cause. Saratoga Casino and Raceway, located on Crescent Avenue in Saratoga Springs, NY, features over 1,700 slots, electronic table games, Vapor Night Club, two full-service restaurants with buffets, a casual dining restaurant, three full-service bars, deli and a variety of guest services including valet parking and coat check. Operating hours for the gaming facility are 9 a.m. to 4 a.m. every day. Simulcast horse races can be viewed seven days a week and live harness racing runs March through mid-December.
