Bird of Paradise Boutique, a business with a
long history in Saratoga Springs, has changed
ownership.
Connie Redgrave, the new owner, held a grand
re-opening of the business on Feb. 6 in Grant
Plaza at 75 Woodlawn Ave.
She said Bird of Paradise Boutique is enhancing
its specialty services and has moved
into spacious new showrooms.
“This is an amazing time for both me and
Bird of Paradise Boutique and I am proud
to have this opportunity to bring an exciting
vision to this well-established and cherished
boutique, a true Saratoga treasure,” said Redgrave.
“Bird of Paradise Boutique’s exceptional clientele can count on an expanded inventory that includes the invigorating freshness of new styles and trends as well as an appreciative eye for the distinctiveness of classic beauty.”
Bird of Paradise Boutique will continue to provide exquisite, specially tailored dresses for mothers of the bride or groom, prom girls and any woman who wants to make a bold statement or impress with subtle charm, she said.
In 1981, previous owner Denise Eliopulos opened the shop on Broadway with a vision of introducing specialized, novel clothing for all occasions to Spa City women. In 2001, Eliopulos introduced Something Bleu Bridal Salon and moved both stores to the current locations in Grant Plaza on Woodlawn Avenue.
“Both Something Bleu Bridal Salon and Bird of Paradise Boutique have been a place of pilgrimage for women for over three decades,” said Eliopulos, who still runs the bridal shop. “I’m enthusiastic about the growth that will come from this expansion and working together as two sister shops.”
