Ballston Spa National Bank recently
announced its 2013 Community Support
Award recipients.
Through the bank’s Volunteers in Action
program, all bank employees are encouraged
to support the community by volunteering
their time.
Bank officials said that of the more than
7,000 volunteer hours worked by BSNB staff
members during 2013, 20 award recipients
were honored for their collective contribution
of more than 3,300 hours.
The 2013 award recipients are:
Wendy Brust, Barbara Creeden, Meg Gavin, Matt Hosek, Louis House, James Ireland, Melissa Jennings, Christopher Jordan, Christine Kernochan, Stephanie Loukes, Ava Marco, Jenifer Marten, Katie Pustolka, Brenda Reilly, Jill Robbins, Laura Siracuse, Virginia Verrigni, Jaimie Yerina, Cathy Young and Donna Zalucky.
These employees volunteered their time through activities organized by BSNB as well as through individual efforts.
BSNB further honored 10 of the 2013 award recipients for going above and beyond in their volunteer work. Each of these employees a $500 donation made in their name to a charity or nonprofit organization of their choice.
Those 10 volunteers, who spent more than 2,300 hours on community support activities, are: Brust, Gavin, Hosek, Ireland, Jennings, Loukes, Marten, Verrigni, Young and Zalucky.
“At BSNB, we strongly believe that through the volunteer efforts of our staff and targeted financial support, we can make a positive difference in the communities we serve,” said Christopher R. Dowd, president and CEO. “This year’s Community Support Award recipients exemplify our philosophy and we appreciate and thank them for their commitment.”
The bank introduced BSNB Volunteers in Action in 2011. The employee-based program is designed to encourage volunteer efforts among all staff members and strengthen the bank’s support of the communities it serves.
