Stewart’s Shops announced that its Blueberry
Pomegranate Greek frozen yogurt, known
as Blueberry Patch, was named the world’s best
at the 2013 World Dairy Expo. The flavor, which
is new this year, ranked number one in the frozen
yogurt category, according to the company.
Stewart’s Dark Chocolate took second place in
the dark chocolate category. This is the flavor’s
sixth win in seven years. In addition, the locallynamed
Crumbs Along The Mohawk, known for
its graham cracker flavor with graham cracker
pieces and caramel swirl, placed third in the
open category.
Blueberry Patch, introduced this spring as
a seasonal flavor at the cone counter, is now
available year-round due to its popularity with
customers. Stewart’s Dark Chocolate is available
in pints and as part of the Chocolate Trifecta half
gallon, while Crumbs Along The Mohawk is sold
in both pints and as full half gallons.
The World Dairy Expo is an international
competition held each year in Madison, Wisc.
Each entry is ranked on flavor, body, texture,
melting quality, color, and appearance. Judging
was held August 13-15.
