A new interior design company, Front
Street Home Design Center, at 6 Front St. in
Ballston Spa, opened in May with a mission “to
help you live beautifully,” said owner Edmond
DeRocker.
There are designers to help people with
projects, and their are antiques, home decor
items, gifts, home accessories, lighting, local
paintings and pottery to browse.
DeRocker has been in the home decor
business for over 30 years, including running
a successful design store out of Nantucket,
Mass., which was in business for over 17 years.
He began his career in theater design and
has done many design projects over the years
across several states.
Along with the wide array of framed art, lighting fixtures, window treatments and home decor–including items from local artists- -Front Street Home Design offers custom handmade furniture, interior commercial design upholstery services and seminars on do-it-yourself home projects, especially for window finishings.
The store is a collective of decorative styles including elegant vintage antique, formal rustic, casual, modern business and cozy country cottage styles.
DeRocker said he also holds receptions in his store for budding artists in the area. Some of the artists currently displaying their works there are Barney Bellanger, Greg Montgomery, Martha Stevenson and Mary Beth Taylor.
The business can be found on Facebook at www.facebook.com/frontstreetdesigns or call at 885-6555.
