Saratoga National Bank and Trust Co. announced the promotion of corporate banking manager Richard J. Ferguson to senior vice president and corporate secretary.
He earned a bachelor’s degree from Siena College and an MBA from the University of Hartford. He is also a graduate of the Stonier Graduate School of Banking and the Commercial Lending School at the University of Oklahoma.
Ferguson is president of the Alcohol and Substance Abuse Prevention Council of Saratoga County, chairman of the city of Saratoga Springs Community Development Citizen Advisory Committee, a member of the Saratoga Entrepreneurial Fund board, and a member of the Leadership Saratoga Alumni Association board. He received the company’s Community Service Volunteer of the Year award in 2011.
Amy Glasser, DPT, recently joined LaMarco Physical Therapy PC as a physical therapist.
Glasser is also active in community- based fitness programs, holding certifications in kickboxing, pilates and yoga.
Keir Weimer joined Select Sotheby’s International realty as a licensed salesperson.
Weimer brings to the organization experience working with multinational corporations, as an entrepreneur in several contexts, and as a real estate professional with a strong grasp of the market. In January of 2012, he founded and became president of his own real estate investment and holding firm, The Thistle Island Group, LLC.
In an effort to grow his real estate investment firm in tandem with a successful career as an agent, Weimer came on board with Select Sotheby’s International Realty. He brings with him an extensive knowledge of the area and the Adirondack Park.

Cross joins the company as vice president, branch Manager and corporate development officer. She brings to the job over 24 years of banking experience within the Capital Region and North Country.
Originally from the Plattsburgh area, Cross graduated from Ausable Valley High School and obtained an associate’s degree in business administration from Clinton Community College. She is a licensed investment professional and has been a volunteer with Northeast Parent and Child Society in Schenectady.
Cross will head operations at 386 Clifton Park Center Road, off Exit 9 of the Northway behind Clifton Park Center Mall. The new full office will feature two drive-through lanes and a 24-hour drive-up ATM.
Whiteman Osterman & Hanna LLP has named a new associate: Vitaliy Volpov.
Volpov will join the Labor and Employment Practice Group. Before joining the firm, Volpov was a law clerk and a court attorney at the state Court of Appeals for Judge Victoria A. Graffeo. He is a member of the New York State and American Bar Associations.
Volpov obtained his Juris Doctor degree, summa cum laude, from Albany Law School in May 2010, where he was an executive editor of lead articles on the Albany Law Review. In addition, he graduated with a bachelor of arts degree in English from Union College.
He is a recipient of the David Siegel Scholarship and the John Alexander Memorial Scholarship. He is fluent in Russian and English.
D’Arrigo specializes in corporate and professional immigration involving employment-based immigrant and nonimmigrant petitions, labor certification, and family-based immigration. He assists a diverse group of U.S. and foreign employers, such as multi-national corporations, religious institutions, and universities to obtain temporary and permanent visas for skilled or professional foreign national employees.
In addition, D’Arrigo is a frequent speaker at immigration/ employment related conferences and seminars including, New York Farm Bureau, Capital Region Human Resource Association, and various other events. he also represents individual foreign-national clients in obtaining immigration benefits through family-based immigration categories.

HUNT Real Estate ERA in Albany announced that Donna Martin has joined the Saratoga Springs sales office as a licensed real estate sales associate.
Martin specializes in servicing the needs of first time home buyers and sellers. She is involved in the Ballston Spa Business Professional Association, and is active in the Saratoga and Ballston Spa communities. She also owns and operates Village Photo LLC in Ballston Spa with her husband, Peter Martin.
Martin covers the market areas of Saratoga and Ballston Spa.
The Visiting Nurse Association of Albany, Saratoga & Rensselaer named Teresa Bravata a patient services manager.
She will be responsible for the operation and supervision of staff in the delivery of services to VNA patients served by the Clifton Park/Saratoga office.
Bravata has served in nurse management positions, most recently with Glens Falls Hospital and Care Net Pregnancy Center of the Tri-State Area. She has experience as an occupational health nurse, maternal and child health nurse, and as a director with the Community Hospice.
Bravata earned her RN and LPN degrees from Suffolk County Community College and is trained and certified as an international emergency disaster relief responder.
Barclay, who has eight years of legal experience, focuses her practice in the areas of medical malpractice defense, errors and omissions, product liability, general liability defense and insurance coverage.
