Me: “What are you in the mood for?”

Boyfriend: “Let me think…”

Me: “I want Mexican. We’re going to Cantina.”

That’s basically how I run things. When I crave mexican food,

nothing else will do. Since I’ve always had a great time at Cantina

(including my first legal margarita as a 21 year old), I try and come up

with reasons to eat there frequently.

During my last visit, I

ordered something so delicious but could not remember what it was, so I

gave it my best shot and just tried something different this time.

I chose the SF Mission Burrito, filled with grilled steak, lime-zested rice, black beans, and fresh salsa.

The burrito was quite good, yet not as delicious as the meal I

remember having last at Cantina. A little disappointing, yes, but

luckily my boytoy decided on a different, and very satisfying meal.

Chicken Enchilada Verdes, slow cooked chicken wrapped in flour

tortillas and topped with a creamy chihuahua cheese sauce and salsa

verde.

So so so sooooooo good. We both agreed on this one, it was pretty

fantastic. What was supposed to be two meals shared turned into him

eating 90% of this and me only getting a few bites! Oh well, now I know

better for next time!

Here’s what my mom got to order, grilled chicken fajitas.

Oh yes, they were good as well, and an excellent deal. Definitely

get your moneys worth with the fajitas, and feeds two people easily!

Cantina

is a lovely place, cool atmosphere, great bar, and great food. If you

haven’t been there yet, go. If you have, go back! Try something new.

There’s something for everyone 🙂
