Do you enjoy competition? Do you like food? Do you like supporting good causes? If you answered yes to any of those questions, then you should absolutely check out the Albany vs. Saratoga Chef Challenge taking place this Thursday, 6PM at the Hampton Inn and Suites in Saratoga Springs.
The Chef Challenge, which benefits Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Capital Region will be featuring two of the biggest chefs in the region, creating their finest dishes from a “secret ingredient” and will be judged by a panel of local celebrity food experts. That’s right, for you Food Network junkies, it’s just like Iron Chef America. Albany chef, A.J. Jayapal of The Brown Derby Restaurant will be battling Saratoga’s own, chef John Ireland of Panza’s Restaurant.
Attendees of the event are also invited to sample offerings from the area’s best restaurants and can vote for them via the People’s Choice Award. Guests will also receive complimentary wine, champagne and desserts. If that doesn’t pique your interest, I don’t know what will!
General tickets are $50 per person and can be purchased by phone in advance or at the door. Don’t put on your ball gown just yet, dress code for this event is business casual. Again, the event is this Thursday, May 10 from 6PM to 9PM at the Hampton Inn and Suites, 25 Lake Avenue, Saratoga Springs, NY. Contact Jami Thompson at 518.862.1250 for more information!
I hope to see you food loving folks there!
