Per my brothers request, I ventured over to Quintessence to try the “world famous” chicken teriyaki. For those of you who don’t already know, Quintessence, which is located in Albany and has just opened up in Malta, is well known for their chicken teriyaki dinner.
For approximately $14 dollars, you get a salad, a heaping pile of their spinach fettuccine and the chicken that everyone talks about. This chicken is wrapped around thinly sliced carrots and scallions, and marinated in a sweet yet savory teriyaki sauce.
It looks like a ton of food because well, it is. The meal itself is great, and I can see why they call it “world famous”. The pasta alone is enough to keep me coming back for more. My favorite part about this meal is that it’s so different from the norm. The pasta is cold and tangy, the chicken is moist and tender, and the salad is light and fresh to balance all of the flavors on the plate.
Way to go Quintessence, can’t wait for round two.
