Pros: Good beer specials during football games
Cons: Pretty much everything else
Okay I hate to start off a blog this way, but I was very
disappointed. The Brick Yard has a lot of potential… great wrap around
bar, decent space, perfect sports watching spot. Unfortunately the
night I went they were short on waitstaff, the food was sub par, and it
didn’t help that my brother was in a rotten mood. Ha – but that’s
besides the point.
I asked the waitress if I could have a buffalo chicken wrap since it
wasn’t on the menu, and they make buffalo chicken quesadillas and
buffalo chicken salads and buffalo chicken sandwiches. But alas… the
waitress told me that they could not make a buffalo chicken wrap, even
though they have every material you need to make one.
Well I ended up getting the quesadilla, which was greasy and
just okay. I do feel bad being so harsh, but honesty is the best policy,
right? The thing that bothers me the most is that it very well could have been the waitresses fault that all of this happened, and if that’s the case then I sincerely apologize to the cooks. I have no clue if she actually asked the back if they could make this order for me, I actually highly doubt she did.
On the bright side, my boyfriend got the electric city steak sandwich
which he was totally delighted with. I also had a bite and thought it was
quite good, in fact I was envious that I hadn’t ordered it! With this being said, I definitely believe the restaurant has a potential of being good, maybe I just had poor judgement when choosing my meal.
Anyway,
I think Brick Yard is worth a second chance, but after my
first experience, I was left with greasy hands and a dissatisfied
stomach. Womp
womp womppp.
