I just posted my November 2013 Top Holistic Health Reads.<\/a> I expressed how
\nI wanted to keep it short, in order to provide more bonding time with loved
\nones. This is because loving and caring connections to others creates a
\npositive effect on our health. However, I am aware that not everyone is blessed
\nwith a family that boosts their feel good brain chemicals such as dopamine and oxytocin.
\nTherefore, for those who experience a rise in stress hormones on turkey day, here
\nare two tips to consider to calm your body and mind down. <\/p>\n

Nature Medicine<\/u><\/b><\/p>\n

Pack your hat and mittens for an
\nescape in nature. According to New York
\nDaily News<\/i>:<\/p>\n

If you’re
\nstruggling with stress, anxiety, or worry, get back to nature, advise British
\nhealth experts. The mental health charity Mind just released a report showing
\nscientifically backed findings on the mental health benefits of “ecotherapy” –
\nprograms designed to promote well-being through outdoor activities in nature,
\nsuch as walking groups or community gardening.<\/p>\n

Tap Away Your Stress<\/u><\/b><\/p>\n

The Passing of Roger Calhan and a
\nReview of the Benefits of Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT)<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

I often recommend tapping as a tool to
\nmy clients when they are feeling triggered by emotions or if they are in a
\nstate of overwhelm. This technique provides them with an empowering tool to
\ncalm their body’s fight-or-flight response that result in many negative health
\nconsequences. <\/p>\n

During EFT, specific acupressure
\npoints are tapped on while one expresses their current health or emotional
\nconcern. This technique is based on traditional Chinese medicine in combination
\nwith the science of stress physiology. <\/p>\n

\nfirst two chapters of The Tapping
\nSolution<\/i>) found within
one of his recent blog<\/a>s<\/u>. In keeping with the theme
