Perochlorate was found in 87% of infant formulas tested by the EWG. Milk based infant formulas were the worst followed by lactose-free, soy, and elemental. Perocholorate is linked with lowered thyroid function. Soy formulas have been found to contain the equivalent amount of estrogen as 5 birth control pills!

Protein Pump Inhbitors linked to Weight Gain
Proton Pump inhibitors such as prevacid, prilosec, and nexium used in the treatment of GERD (reflux disease) have been linked to weight gain in one study.
