~Turn and erase the strain~
This morning, over coffee, my partner and I were discussing the last five or so years of our lives. We’ve both done and continue to do a great deal of work dealing with the results of that very stressful time. I have been working with Dr. Sarah, Shaman Shari Parslow, LMT, Brandi Collesides and Acupuncturist, Dave Ostrowski along with others to conquer symptoms associated with too much stress and anxiety.
Yesterday, I realized that my body reacted differently to a situation that would have, in the past, caused my heart to pound, and my stomach to lurch. But yesterday, this didn’t happen. Instead, I was able to think clearly and take care of the problem — a computer glitch — without that terror/panic reaction.
So, back to this morning over coffee: in relating this experience to Dave, I realized that being able to work through stress, and be willing to work through stress enables us to change our behaviour and make significant improvements in our overall health.
