Heart disease is the number one<\/a> cause of death nationally and globally for all genders. Yet, many biological women* worry more about their breast health than their cardiovascular care.<\/p>\n Why is this true?<\/p>\n The fact is that women have a greater risk<\/a> of dying from heart disease than all other cancers combined. This holds true regardless of race or ethnicity.<\/p>\n Furthermore, older women who are cancer survivors are much more likely<\/a> to die from cardiovascular issues than a cancer reoccurrence.<\/p>\n So, why does breast cancer get most of healthcare\u2019s attention for women regarding disease prevention over the primary cause of death?<\/p>\n I speculate it\u2019s for several reasons:<\/p>\n In my latest article<\/a> and video, I dive into the traditional risk factors for heart disease.
