It is estimated that about 12% of the American population will likely develop a thyroid condition in their lifetime, according to the American Thyroid Association. Still, about 60% of those impacted are undiagnosed and unaware of their condition. Due to the thyroid’s interaction with most of our body’s systems, this can put people at risk for certain serious conditions, such as heart disease, osteoporosis, complications in pregnancy, and infertility.
This is why it is vital to keep our thyroid healthy. Luckily, we can nourish our thyroid with lifestyle and address the potential triggers to thyroid deregulation using natural methods, including essential oils.
