Recently, we’ve been preparing for the cold months ahead by highlighting natural approaches to support a strong immune system. First, we covered how nature’s aromatics and her essential oils can be great allies to keep us healthy and protect us from infectious agents. Next, we started reviewing how to protect ourselves from the ubiquitous chemicals and toxins found in the environment.
These detrimental substances create havoc in the body and have been linked to various health problems. They are sneaky contributors to disease processes and create a barrier to the vitality and healing responses one desires, even with the best treatment.
This is why we must be aware of these exposures and take steps to decrease their detrimental impact. In this way, we can enhance our overall wellness and make our essential oils, supplements, and lifestyle interventions more effective.
Last week, we discussed the key points to consider when living in our toxic environment. Then, we examined how to nourish and feed our bodies with clean and nutrient dense foods to decrease our total chemical burden.
