In our last clinical tip, I discussed how essential oils impact brain and cognitive health through their ability to (1) modulate hormones and brain signaling patterns, (2) shift brain electrical activity, and (3) protect the nervous system (neuroprotection). These physiological changes all occur through the direct interaction of their aromatic molecules with our cellular receptors.
In my latest video, I continue to explore using essential oils for psychological health. Specifically, I highlight how they can be used in naturopathic and functional medicine to address the root causes of mental health issues.
Topics of the video include:
- Five reasons naturopathic medicine, functional medicine, and essential oils are the three amigos
- The many underlying factors leading to brain health imbalances
- How essential oils get to the root of all the triggers of brain deregulation
