In this episode of the Essential Oil Revolution, I was honored to be joined by yet another prestigious and exalted guest, Dr. Alexis Chesney. We discussed how to holistically approach Lyme disease and tick-borne illnesses. Most importantly, we reviewed how to prevent a tick from using you as its next blood meal, including through the use of essential oils. Although we have touched upon the complexity and chronicity of tick-borne diseases previously on the show, we had yet to fully highlight prevention and a comprehensive, holistic approach.
Dr. Chesney is the perfect person to shed light on this topic, as she is the master in all things related to vector-transmitted diseases. She is an internationally esteemed naturopathic physician, acupuncturist, author, researcher, lecturer, educator, patient advocate, and specialist in treating and preventing Lyme and tick-borne diseases. In fact, she literally wrote the book and course on it!
Dr. Chesney published Preventing Lyme & Other Tick-Borne Diseases in 2020 and just recently she released her premier course, Preventing Lyme and Tick-Borne Disease. She is also the creator of the Tick Preparedness Kit, a one-stop first-aid kit for a tick bite that provides prophylactic support.
