One of the most favored and well-known essential oils, alongside lavender oil, is tea tree oil. It is an aromatherapist and consumer favorite based on its versatile applications and its well-known antimicrobial, antifungal, and anti-inflammatory properties. This has made it a desirable ingredient in a variety of skincare, personal care, and healthcare products.
Tea tree oil has evidence for efficacy in a vast amount of conditions and has been deemed to be overall safe when used properly. Yet, recently regulators are expressing concerns and considering labeling it as a toxin.
