Previously, I explored how one’s belief can shift health in a positive or negative direction. The expectation that one holds about an intervention being harmful (the nocebo effect) or healing (the placebo effect) changes one’s physiology and impacts health outcomes.
Researchers have struggled for years to outcompete the power of the mind in their experiments. For a treatment to be “successful,” it must produce effects that outperform the biochemical effects of a subject’s belief and a sugar pill. Furthermore, the interaction subjects have with the experimenter and/or physician also impacts the results.
In my latest post, I explore how the placebo effect, one’s mindset, and a healing therapeutic partnership can combine for optimal results. In it I discuss:
- The role of the doctor-patient relationship in health outcomes
- How naturopathic medicine and functional medicine merge the mind-body
- Tools, such as essential oils, that I use to help one shift their emotions and reset their thought processes
- What mindset is and how it serves as the foundation of lasting health results
- And more…

Due to the effects beliefs and relationships have on healing, I’ve been obsessing and tweaking my PREMIER online, live, program to get it up and running. It combines mindset, intentions, and lifestyle interventions for optimizing wellness and alleviating stress and overwhelm.
