While experts argue over which diet is “best” for longevity or the perfect ratio of macros that will make us live to be centenarians, they are forgetting about other vital components that have nothing to do with diet and exercise. These are aspects that all the longest living humans have in common. This is a sense of purpose, enjoyment, and social connection.
Although nutrition and movement is important, and nourish the gut-brain axis, they are among many crucial factors to consider. No one intervention should be the sole focus for overall wellness. In fact, I believe a sense of community and psychological balance may be even more critical.
My passion to support others to live their most fulfilling and healthy lives has led me to focus on mental and emotional health. One of my favorite modalities to achieve brain balance is the therapeutic use of essential oils.
