I have blogged previously on the importance of choosing safe, non-toxic, and sustainable products to support our wellness and to safeguard our planet for future generations. Evidence is mounting on how the chemicals released into our world, via the merchandise we purchase, the air we breath, and the food we eat, are building up in our bodies. Concerning, these toxicants are being linked to disorders of our immune, reproductive, neurological, and cardiovascular systems.
In fact, the CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) is continuously evaluating the amount of exposures in a select population and the how they are associated with various health conditions. The most recent report detailed 212 chemicals found in blood and urine samples of participants and how these were associated with negative effects on the body. As more substances are being allowed into our environment, with very little oversite, the CDC continually updates with longer lists of them that are being biomonitored in participants.
This is why doing what we can to decrease our body burden is imperative, especially in little ones. Our tiniest are more vulnerable to harm due to their smaller body sizes, critical growth periods in which these substances can detrimentally alter, and immature detoxification abilities.
For these reasons, I’m bringing back the focus on “going green.” In my latest post, I go into more detail on this topic and also provide you with a resource to get your hands on a product that can have a big impact on the whole family’s health. Of course, it has essential oils in it. These gifts of nature optimize our resiliency to threats and support our body’s natural defense from chemicals.
