I swear, I can never get enough of the Bog Meadow Nature Trail. It is ever-changing and always beautiful. I can always count on the seasons being beautifully apparent whenever I walk or run on this trail. I set out early on Saturday morning for a walk and to search for the bright greens, new growth and other signs that Spring had finally arrived.
My favorite time to try to photograph nature is early morning, or as the sun is setting. The lower angle of the sun creates great shadows and the filtered light through the tree branches is magical.
The vibrant greens that are in abundance for such a short time this time of year were further illuminated by the early morning sun. It was beautiful. In fact, everything I saw throughout my walk was peaceful, beautiful and freshly growing.
There’s not really a lot I want to say about these photos as they pretty clearly speak for themselves. The only word that keeps popping into my head as I write this and try to describe my walk is “lovely.” It was utterly lovely out there. Nothing more to say…
There was a bench that was right down on the water and I sat there for a few minutes reading all the names carved into the wood and enjoying all the shadows on the trail and reflections on the water.
I met Winston out walking his very kind human who allowed me to take their picture, and then caught a couple of shots of these birds. There was a little bit of everything this morning.
I have lots of great posts scheduled for the months of May through August! Some adventures, some incredibly beautiful locations, some super cute animals, and MAYBE a few big names in the world of thoroughbred racing. It’s all very exciting for me and I can’t wait to share my adventures and photos here with all of you! 🙂
