About this event
Come join us for the WABY One Year Anniversary Party, featuring live music by Joe Mansman & The Midnight Revival Band, Flatwounds, The Hard Luck Souls, Anacortez and Sons Of Eden.
The Midnight Revival Band
Joe Mansman and The Midnight Revival Band are a blistering display of dangerously skilled rock and rollers. Where few bands still don the mantle, these renegades carry the torch, combining attitude, swagger, colossal guitar solos, and boisterous lyrics into a crucible of sleaze, rock, glam rock, Southern rock, and heavy metal.
Helmed by the group’s eponymous front man, the self-proclaimed ‘wayward son’ has been torching audiences since 2014, with a haughty and distinguished charisma that demands the attention of the room, leading them to share sold out stages across the US, alongside Jackyl, Warrant, Dokken, Quiet Riot, Texas Hippie Coalition, Scott Stapp and many more.
Their most recent EP “Live For Thrills”, showcases the group at it’s finest, employing a rich and dynamic change in pace that ethereally serves dramatic and memorable vocal hooks over a soaring landscape of guitars and keys, carefully weaving their way in and out of your soul like a fiery sermon. Their live shows take no shortcuts either. The band’s riveting presence captures the room, and before long they have you nodding in accord saying “Long live rock and roll.”
Flatwounds
Flatwounds is a heavy grunge band from Albany, NY. The band combines pained, Layne Staley-esque croons with a hardcore edge.
The Hard Luck Souls
The Hard Luck Souls are a hard rock band with blues roots from New York’s Capital Region. Guitarist Brian Gentile and singer Chris Itani started making music together in 2015. After a few line-up changes, drummer Mark Schmidt and bassist Dave Smassanow filled out the group.
In 2017, The Hard Luck Souls released their debut, a 7-song EP “Closer to the Flame”, raising their profile in the regional music scene. After honing their sound through frequent live shows and picking up momentum, THLS released their sophomore record, the full-length “Believer” in July 2021. As “Believer” gets spins on regional airwaves, more and more rock fans are taking notice of this up-and-coming four piece.
Anacortez
Consisting of lead vocalist Jessie Whitney, guitarist and vocalist Mike Comtois, drummer Kevin Couture and bassist Mark Hamilton, Anacortez was formed during the height of COVID in 2020, hoping to breathe some life into the music scene. Anacortez is bringing back the nostalgia of the early 2000’s skater, pop-punk vibe, with a heavy flavor. Mike and Kevin have been in bands together since 1995, some of the more notable bands being The Harrowing and Dissent.
Sons of Eden
Hailing from Albany, NY, Sons of Eden are a hard rock band with grunge and metal flavors. Their first single, Appetite, is a groove-infused, catchy and gritty rocker, complemented by growling vocals, reminiscent of Metallica and Stone Temple Pilots. Heavy riffage with old school tones works like clockwork throughout the track, topped off by fiery guitar leads.
