Philadelphia’s innovative musical troupe, Altissimo Arts, brings a varied program of concert favorites – from Mussorgsky to Freddie Mercury – to the shores of Lake George.
Saxophonists Valentin Kovalev and Aiwen Zhang, are joined by pianist Hanchien Lee and Philadelphia Orchestra violist, Meng Wang, for a program that soars with Mussorgsky’s “Pictures at an Exhibition,” Milhaud’s “Scaramouche Suite,” Gershwin’s “Rhapsody in Blue,” John Williams’ theme to “Schindler’s List” and Freddie Mercury’s “Bohemian Rhapsody,” among other selections.
Newly arrived on the Philadelphia scene, Altissimo Arts is a chamber music series that aspires to celebrate chamber music as “a social gathering of friends in an atmosphere fostering shared discovery.
