About this event
Women are bombarded with the message to start strength training, and for good reason! It can significantly impact your metabolic and mental health and can decrease frailty as you age. The problem is, how do you start? What does it entail? What is a good program?
In a welcoming and safe environment, we will review why strength training is essential to aging well and what to look for in a good program, whether an online program you follow at home, at a gym, or with a personal trainer. When you leave, you will understand what is involved in making this lifestyle change and how to take the next steps. We will not lift weights but do a group foam roll and warm up together, so wear comfortable clothes.
We believe strength training can improve your life! We aren't pushing any particular program, but we are sharing what we have learned over decades of experience.
