GREENFIELD REVAMPS FARMERS MARKET WITH NEW LOCATION,
DAY OF WEEK AND A FLURRY OF ACTIVITY

GREENFIELD N.Y. – The Town of Greenfield Recreation Department is revamping its local farmers market, which will be held Thursday evenings at Middle Grove Park. It will feature more than 20 vendors, rotating food trucks and weekly entertainment throughout its season from June 20-September 19. (Please note there will be no market on July 4.)

The outdoor “Greenfield Farmers Market” was run by Greenfield United Methodist Church since 2021 and held on Fridays in its parking lot across the street from the park.  The town has moved the market to Thursday evenings, 4-7 p.m. at Middle Grove Park, 428 Middle Grove Rd.

Visitors will find local vendors selling everything from baked goods to eggs, fresh cut flowers, jams/jellies, maple syrup products, pickles, pierogies, apparel, and more. There is also a lot of artisan merchandise like woodwork, glassware, homemade soaps, jewelry, candles and handbags. Visitors can enjoy Thursday evening dinner (onsite or take-home) with local food trucks such as the Greenfield Lions Club (hamburgers/hotdogs), the wood-fired pizza truck from Fierro’s Pizza, barbecue from Kaleidoscope Café, Dave’s Fish Fry, Caribbean food from Joel’s Jerk Hut, and more. Trucks will vary depending on date. Local musicians will perform each week and the Saratoga Springs Public Outreach Library’s Mobile Van will be present with books to borrow, story times and crafts. Other planned specialty entertainment includes things like family yoga and meditation with Jilly Sansone on June 20 and 27. A family hoedown with line dancing instruction by the County Liners of Broadalbin will take place July 25.

Plenty of parking is available. Vendor applications and weekly updates can be found at greenfieldny.org. Updates will also be posted on social media.

“Our market is a beautiful representation of our special rural town,” said Recreation Director Jen Zeisler. “It’s a quick drive from Saratoga to a quiet, beautiful country park with many local vendors. Families can enjoy the entertainment, easy dinner and a lovely park setting. We hope that many will come to experience our Greenfield community.”

The Town of Greenfield is home to 8,200 residents in Greenfield, Porter Corners, Middle Grove, Lake Desolation and Maple Ave. It spans more than 41,000 acres of land bordering the Adirondacks and is the largest town in Saratoga County, by square mile.
