Are there any December job fairs??? or ideas for seasonal employment
As far as Job Fair in December the answer is not really. Most companies have hired their workers prior to the holiday season. There could still be openings as people may leave or be fired, so there is still opportunity but not in a large amount.
Idea’s for seasonal employment:
Of course most of retail will have openings for the holiday season with lay-offs in mid-january.
Other idea’s would be those related to snow or winter such as ski resorts, restaurants in or around snow mobile area’s, retail that sells snow gear and supplies, or other snow related businesses. These of course are all susceptible to mother nature and last year that did not help them at all.
Keep an eye on office/clerical positions. They will most likely pick up dramatically after January 1st.
