Skippy and The Pistons Fill Congress Park For Free Show<\/em><\/strong> And yet, on a night when LiveNation was presenting an exhibit of fossils (AKA the 50th Anniversary Moody Blues Tour), I headed in to Congress Park for the Sunday, July 16th edition of the Heritage Area Visitors Center free concert series (see schedule below) prepared for an audience of just a bunch of geezers and geezerettes feeling that nostalgia thing.<\/p>\n Not exactly… What I DID see is timeless, multi-generational appeal. That is because (are you listening, Moodys?) Skippy and the Pistons keep their playlist fresh and updated, their band members are a mix of original members and relative newcomers – all highly experienced. <\/p>\n Pros. \nAs night falls, and the ducks in their skybox are waiting to take back their park, The Pistons call up Skippy for a couple of Dion Tunes – he’s still got it folks!

\nAs far as I can see, Skippy and the Pistons, while faithful to their heritage, are still able to create new traditions and lasting memories.
