\nSARATOGA SPRINGS – A new music project is on the horizon.<\/p>\n
Original Songwriter Leah Woods, a prolific provider of “ambient soul, folk and pop”- see LeahWoodsMusic.com<\/a> – will be debuting her new combo – Woods Wylder – this Saturday at 8 pm at Harvey’s (14 Phila Street – visit HarveysPub.com\/<\/a>. The gig is also a fundraiser for a CD project that is to be released in the fall to benefit “Melodies 4 Water.” there is no admission charge, but donations will be accepted and silent auction items will be available. The music will also be enhanced by special guests Brendan Dailey, Abrielle Scharff, Lucy Wijnands and others.

\nAbout this project, Leah said in a statement that “Melodies 4 Water” is a fundraising campaign to raise awareness of the water crisis and an opportunity to take action and be a part of the solution. Saturday’s fundraiser is the kick off for the compilation album being released in the fall. The proceeds will be used to build water filtration systems for villages in Chiapas, Mexico. The water filtration plants will give families access to clean water for drinking, cooking, and cleaning.”
