A statement from Promoter Jarrett Hartstone was issued as follows: &#8220;We regret to announce that due to the impending Nor\u2019easter, Rebirth Brass Band will be unable to make it to Saratoga for their show at Putnam Place. The band was scheduled to fly up from New Orleans on Wednesday morning via NYC and with the impending storm, there was simply no way to make it work as flights are already being cancelled. We promise to reschedule the show as soon as we can and apologize for any inconvenience. Formed in 1983 by the Frazier brothers, the band has evolved from playing the streets of the French Quarter to playing festivals and stages all over the world. While committed to upholding the tradition of brass bands, they\u2019ve also extended themselves into the realms of funk and hip-hop to create their signature sound. <\/p>\n<p>\u201c&#8217;Rebirth can be precise whenever it wants to,\u201d says The New York Times, \u201cbut it\u2019s more like a party than a machine. It\u2019s a working model of the New Orleans musical ethos: as long as everybody knows what they\u2019re doing, anyone can cut loose.&#8217; In the wake of the sometimes- stringent competition amongst New Orleans brass bands, Rebirth is the undisputed leader of the pack, and they show no signs of slowing down.&#8221;<\/em><br \/>\n                                                         &#8211; Source: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.rebirthbrassband.com\/\">RebirthBrassBand.com\/<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Promoter Jarrett Hartstone both brings and pays to see more music than just about anyone I know, so when he is quoted as saying that this &#8220;&#8230;is a show that I have personally been waiting many years to bring to Saratoga,&#8221; it gets my attention. And it should get yours. For to see an act that fills arenas and larger venues up close &#8211; well, that is a privilege indeed. <\/p>\n<p>And for many of you, Wednesday might be the first time in a while that you have been back to what used to be known as &#8216;the Den&#8217; &#8211; prepare to be shocked in a good, good way. The renovations, sight and sound innovations and general sprucing are impressive, from top to bottom.
