SARATOGA SPRINGS – H.O.P.E. (Homes for Orphan Pets Exist) took their act on the road to Caffe` Lena on Sunday afternoon, April 14 for their first Cat Adoption Day. This family fun event was captured in this gallery by Hannah Walsh (visit HannahLuxCreative.com.)
There is some history here worth noting. When Lena Spencer was alive and running her Caffe`, she would often watch performers from the back of the room accompanied by her cat, who was as much a part of the building as any performer.
At Sunday’s event, H.O.P.E.’s Executive Director Wendy Mongillo was delighted to report “Our Cat CaffĂ© event was a great success with one cat adopted – Max the magnificent! The band , Melissa Sgambulleri Trio was fantastic and we hope they will play at our annual gala at Saratoga National in November.” She said.
“We would like to thank Caffe` Lena for letting us use their beautiful space.” Wendy continued. “Our next big event is the annual Walk For the Animals and after party at High Rock Park in Saratoga on June 9th. It will be a howling good time!”
Indeed, if you missed the chance to adopt on this day, no worries, there is plenty of unconditional love to available. Visit H.O.P.E’s Website for all the details. In the meantime, enjoy the gallery.
