SARATOGA SPRINGS – The “wearin’ o’ the green” descended upon downtown Saratoga Springs a day early for the fourth year in a row, as people rallied in support of The American Cancer Society at Saratoga’s LepraCON – a pub crawl with a heart of gold green. The festivities began before noon at Harvey’s and crawled along Phila and Caroline Streets until long after sunset.
My “drinking-glove buddies” Andrea and Nicole caught the crawl with me at two key stops: The Saratoga City Tavern and Spa City Tap and Barrel. Merriment ensued! We found good-natured, high-spirited crowds at each locale…
… and while there may have been a “wee bit o’ spillage,” if you will, here and there – it seemed to us that we were amidst a bunch of nice people helping a great cause. Kudos all around, and especially to the organizers – our regional branch of the American Cancer Society. You folks have earned well-deserved “Erin Go Bragh-ing” rights for pulling off another great event. See you at number five! Enjoy the gallery – sláinte!
