SARATOGA SPRINGS – I don’t know about you, but I’d like at least a forkful of every entree displayed in this Video:
The video inspires me to rediscover old favorite restaurants, and to make new favorites.
The good news is that you can do this too, and right in Saratoga County. It’s Restaurant Week, beginning this Friday, March 22, through Thursday. March 29. The Saratoga County Chamber of Commerce has once again done an excellent job of coordinating a variety of restaurants. Each of the 49 participating restaurants (a link to the roster, their websites, menus and more – including a $2000 restaurant gift card giveaway contest – and the rules and regs involved,) are ALL HERE on one concise page.
Each establishment has devised a three-course, $20 or $30 menu that shows off their restaurant’s cuisine. Also, some of these places are also offering $10 two course lunches; those seeking an incredible bargain will find these establishments worth seeking out.
“We are so excited for Saratoga County Restaurant Week! The Chamber has stepped up its game this year with another amazing online sweepstakes contest and a website landing page that features fun promo videos and all of the participant’s menus. We think Saratoga County Restaurant Week is a great opportunity for locals to try out a few new restaurants or visit their favorites. There truly is something delicious for everyone!” Richie Snyder, Vice President of Communications
Indeed, there is a wealth of great choices, but IMHO the keyword in Richie’s quote above is LOCALS. Indeed again, unless I missed something, the track is not planning to open in March; Dave Matthews and the Jazz Festival are still a few months away; and any snowbirds worth their feathers are probably staying south a while longer.
Meaning: While some may visit Saratoga County for this promotion, the table(s) are set for primarily for you, your local friends and neighbors. You don’t want to sleep on this one, because it’s always delicious!
