SARATOGA SPRINGS – Twenty years in the making, Hattie’s Mardi Gras will have it’s final edition next Saturday, January 12, at 6 pm at the Canfield Casino. If you want to attend (and why wouldn’t you?) you better hurry, as less than 100 admissions remain, and there will be no door sales. Here is a LINK to purchase tickets online.
Hattie’s Annual Mardi Gras party began in 2001, and it is expected that, with this year’s proceeds, Hattie’s will have donated over one million dollars to local non-profits. This year’s beneficiary is Jake’s Help From Heaven.
Beyond all this considerable goodness, let me assure you that this is the one party that for two decades has afforded us yankees an opportunity to laugh at winter – as that New Orleans vibe gets imported North- lock, stock and gumbo…
