Sometimes a simple story – well-told – is the best story.
And so, that ‘best story’ played out nicely in a place where the motto is: “Every Taste Tells a Story” – The Savory Pantry (486 Broadway) on Tuesday, August 21 presented “These Boots Were Made for Walking,” a walk-in cocktail party to benefit Old Friends at Cabin Creek.
Savory Pantry has been doing these taste events, which involves a winning, delicious formula containing friends, food, and creative libations for some time now. This one offered an oasis from Travers week tumult, and yet added to the ambiance. A deft balance.
I heartily recommend you keep an eye out for the next one. And, on this night, 20 percent of the evenings proceeds benefited the retired Thoroughbreds of Old Friends at Cabin Creek.
Old Friends at Cabin Creek is a a 501c3 not-for-profit providing dignified retirement for Thoroughbred racehorses.
