There is so much to love about Amour New York. A spa like storefront located at 6 Phila Street, just a few steps below sidewalk level.
Once inside, you will be transcended into an all white establishment offering unique products containing healing and holistic Dead Sea Minerals infused with natural oils and fruit extracts.
Amongst the samples, symmetrical shelves lined with perfectly placed black mud facial masks share space with mango-peach mineral creams.
Each item is imported directly from the Dead Sea.
I had the privilege of trying the 400 gram lavender aromatic body scrub – reasonably priced at $26.50. This was perfectly pared with the 400 gram lavender shea butter ($28.50).
The body scrub exfoliated my skin, removing all the dead skin cells with one swoop. Christine Marks, Amour’s owner told me to shave my legs after this process and I can honestly tell you my legs never felt smoother. Add the shea butter and HELLOOOOO summer.
Warning, ladies… my daughters kept trying to steal these products out of my shower!
Amour’s products not only feel rich, they last! Christine prides herself on identifying concentrated natural ingredients…so a little Amour goes a long way!
Christine got enthused and insisted I also try the foot mineral peeling cream and mineral foot cream, each weighing in at 200 ml and for the affordable price of $18.50.
These tubes have ingredients such as crushed apricot seeds, avocado oil, olive oil, and aloe vera. Customers have coined these foot creams, “pedicure in a tube” and I could not agree more.

Christine shared with me that this newest job venture has allowed her what most only dream about, a job that combines her passions: beauty, and import/export background. Christine worked at Paul Mitchell and Coldwell each for a few years, and then worked for 20+ years in the import/export business.
She stated that she had always had trouble with her skin and on a life changing trip to Israel tried products containing minerals from the Dead Sea.
