GREENFIELD CENTER – Come to the Ndakinna Education Center (23 Middle Grove Rd, Greenfield Center) for a family friendly evening of music, food and drink with musician Dan Bern during a benefit concert for Center on Saturday, June 2 from 6 – 8 pm. Dan has released some two dozen studio albums, EPs, and live recordings since his first CD on Sony/Work in 1997. Either fronting various bands or as a solo performer, he is convincing, funny and timely, with an unassuming tip of the hat to the spirits of the past greats, all while sounding fresh and original. Dan’s songs pack a punch, and are engaging and often cinematic.
Berns’ singular songwriting has led to work on projects such as Judd Apatow feature films Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story and Get Him to the Greek. His songs have appeared in countless TV shows and independent films, been covered by The Who’s Roger Daltrey, and lately, comprise all the songs for Amazon Prime’s The Stinky and Dirty Show, a cartoon for youngsters now in its second season.
Food and Drink will be available for purchase from Druthers Brewing Company and Spring St. Deli.
Tickets are $15 for adults / $7 for youth. Visit BrownPaperTickets.com to purchase advance admission. For more information, phone the Ndakinna Education Center at 518.583.9958.
