SARATOGA SPRINGS – It’s been a great week for local not-for-profit Jake’s Help From Heaven (JHFH) – see their website/.
On Tuesday, December 5, JHFH announced that they had achieved a significant milestone. The previous evening – at the final Board of Directors meeting of 2017, they awarded over $30,800. With that, Jake’s Help From Heaven had smashed through the half-million dollar donation mark – awarding $525,170.16 since its inception in 2011!
The next evening, the good (and delicious) news continued as JHFH was the designated recipient for Cantina Restaurant’s (430 Broadway) monthly “Cantina For a Cause” night: In which 50 percent of everything raised that day – lunch, dinner, cocktails and take-out was designated for JHFH. A packed restaurant enjoyed great food, drinks and company while raising money for JHFH and celebrating Jake’s life. A record $5,797 was raised in one day!
