… A Winning Combo Benefits UPH
SARATOGA SPRINGS (Sept 28, 2017) – Having departed from Franklin Community Center’s Project Lift benefit (See Post) with warm feelings all around, I took the long way home, via Morton’s – inside the Saratoga Casino Hotel, and wasn’t sorry one bit!
The Planet Arthur Advance Planning Team had done its job well, and I arrived just as ‘Cocktails + Colleagues’ was getting into power hour mode, all to benefit UPH (Universal Preservation Hall). On Thursday nights in the fall, you run into double, and sometimes triple-duty situations. Shout out to UPH’s Teddy Foster for advising the Advance Team , and then delivering. “Oh, we’ll be partying late!” Apparently, Teddy knows her people…
No surprise that the soundtrack at the center of all this dance fever was supplied by the Radio Junkies, who I had not seen in awhile… not only did they play from a fairly unique and tasty repertoire of prime demo ’90s material, they had their ‘sense of the moment’ quirky good humor working the crowd to perfection.

So, all in all, two great local institutions, both impacting the quality of life right here in zip 12866, were benefitted tonight. Franklin Community Center and Universal Preservation Hall are entities that we all can be proud to support – which we did – on a lovely (finally!) autumnal evening…
