Local Author Alyssa Cremeans Releases “The Happy Mason Jar” Cookbook Featuring Quick And Easy Mason Jar Desserts + Wine Pairings
SARATOGA SPRINGS – Here’s the deal.
It’s Friday at 4 pm and you just got out of work. You feel your stress levels rising as you sit in traffic. Your dinner guests are arriving at 6, and your appetizers haven’t even made their way to your oven.
You sigh as an upsetting realization falls over you: There’s no time to make what you were planning. The week’s crazy schedule got the best of you. You reluctantly pull into the local grocery store parking lot, as you settle on store-bought brownies for everyone.
But sometimes, a solution drops out of the sky, like magic – even in Congress Park!
Presenting Local Author Alyssa Cremeans. Alyssa released her first self-published work, The Happy Mason Jar, to bookstores and online retail stores in 16 countries this month. The book features 30 unique Mason jar dessert recipes that are branded as quick and easy to prepare with the ability to stay fresh for up to 10 days. Each comes with suggested wine parings that assist in melting your mealtime stress away…
“This book has been a long time coming. I began baking as soon as I was old enough hold a spoon and started my first baking business by 5th grade,” said Alyssa, “Over the past 10 years, traveling the world and tasting all the different flavors it has to offer really helped me to develop my own flavor and style of baking.”
Alyssa also worked with George Ryals from All Star Wine + Spirits in Latham to create a wine pairing for each of the 30 desserts. After contacting selected wine brands, Cremeans received permission to feature wine from all over the world, including the Italy, Germany, Australia, Spain and New Zealand. Well-known brands include Josh Cellars, Bartenura Blue, Pine Ridge Vineyards and Saraceni Wines. Cremeans also featured a “taste of home” by pairing one of her recipes with the Capital Region’s own Saratoga Sparkling Rosé. “I made this book exclusive to mason jars because they’ve become a huge trend in the food industry,” Cremeans added, “I hope this book makes baking easy and fun for people, and that it adds a little extra happiness to their lives!”
Alyssa has already appeared on NewsChannel13 with Elaine Houston, and I’m expecting a flurry of local whoop-de-doop – book signings, demo events etc. – shortly, and we will be happy to announce them as they roll out and The Happy Mason Jar hist you fave brick + mortar stores.
But if you cant wait (like me!) to get your copy, click on over to Mr. Bezos’ Neighborhood – he’s got plenty!
