Saratoga Winery Hosts Camp TLC Fundraiser
I think Rich Ortiz knows what’s coming!
…and coming…
OK – the gang’s all here… now, let’s go to camp!
SARATOGA SPRINGS – An incredibly festive gathering on a picture perfect evening descended upon the Saratoga Winery (462 Route 29 – see their website here), on Wednesday, June 21, in support of a fantastic cause – Camp Moki, a week-long family Camp located at the Bear’s Den on beautiful Lake George, NY. Camp Moki serves families with a child or family member that has a special need or a life-threatening illness. This camp is provided free of charge to all participating families, because of generous grants and donations, such as what occurred on this splendid evening.
And, let’s face it – who among us could not use a little camp?
Attendees enjoyed delicious wood fired pizza and other goodies, vintages galore, and dug deep for a chance to win many unique silent auction treasures – all to the soundtrack provided by Rich Ortiz – always excellent, yet he always manages to find that extra gear to elevate his game on evenings attached to causes like this.
Caroline Baumis, the Founder and Executive Director of Camp TLC, which stands for Together Living a Challenge, flew back home from her residence in California to greet long-time friends and supporters.
Camp TLC designed Camp Moki to give local families a week of recreational experience on Lake George and the opportunity to see camp through their child’s prospective. Families attend classes with their child or take some time to meet and visit with other families who are experiencing like challenges.
Certainly, there were many “happy campers” tonight…. but the best news of all is that it is never, never too late to help and make a contribution. For all the details, email Caroline directly at cbaumis@thecamptlc.org.
