Saratoga PBA; Julie + Co. Raise Inaugural Adirondack Cup in Triumph
SARATOGA SPRINGS – Here’s some simple math:
West Side Saratoga National Little League + East Side Saratoga American Little League = Powerhouse!
This formula was demonstrated in two different ways, yet the result was the same – Saratoga’s Julie + Co overcame an early deficit to win the Minor Division, 6-4; while Saratoga PBA broke out for 6 in the first inning and never looked back – eventually invoking the 15-run rule to triumph in the Major Division. Add it up and you have a sweep in the Inaugural Adirondack Cup against Hudson River Community Credit Union Credit Union and Warren Tire respectively at the West Side Rec Fields, on Saturday, June 17.
The Adirondack Cup series came about as a result of the combining of the two Saratoga Little Leagues this season. In previous years, the Mayor’s Cup would have clashes between the West Side (National) and East Side (American) leagues.
What remains constant is the good sportsmanship, fair play, and seemingly always warm and sunny weather. Plus mama-razzzi’s, Ben + Jerry’s, 50/50 raffles, color and excitement that make this Saturday in June extra special. congrats to ALL the teams, participants, fans and sponsors.
It truly is “How you play the game!”
