Fourth Annual Move and Groove 5k
The National Museum of Dance (NMD) announces its fourth annual Move & Groove 5k this Sunday, June 25 at 9 am. Beginning and ending at the National Museum of Dance, join fellow runners for a beautiful 3.1 mile course through the scenic Spa State Park. There will be cash awards for the top three male and top three female runners ($200, $150 and $100 respectively), as well as a $50 prize for best male and female dance costumes! A Kid’s Fun Run, for younger athletes, will take place before the start of the 5k run on the lawn of the Museum, offering awards to all participants.

T-shirts will be given to the first 100 participants, so be sure to register early to make sure you’re able to sport one as you cross the finish line!
Can’t run in Saratoga? Sign up as a virtual runner and complete your 3.1 miles wherever you are! And don’t worry – they will still get a shirt to you!
Proceeds from the race will benefit NMD’s children’s programming.
Opening Reception for National Museum of Dance: Celebrating 30 Years
The National Museum of Dance announces the opening of its newest exhibition National Museum of Dance: Celebrating 30 Years.
A centerpiece of the 30th anniversary season, National Museum of Dance: Celebrating 30 Years examines the rich history of the Museum from its founding and 1987 grand opening season up to the present day. The fascinating story of this unique cultural institution is articulated through its dynamic roster of exhibitions, the vast and diverse collection, the annual gala, and the development of the Lewis A. Swyer Studios and the School of the Arts. This highly-innovative installation includes a selection of some of the most significant objects from the collection, including several new accessions and artifacts on view for the first time in the Museum’s history.
The public is invited to a reception after the official opening of this exhibition on Friday, June 30th at 6:30 p.m. Light refreshments will be served. This event is free.
The National Museum of Dance is located at 99 South Broadway in Saratoga Springs. The Museum is currently open for daily admissions Tuesday-Saturday from 10 am to 4 pm and Sunday from noon to 4 pm, offering free admission on Tuesdays.
