SARATOGA SPRINGS – Having passed the doorbeagle’s muster, I proceeded onto Peabody’s (39 Phila Street) patio on Wednesday, June 14, for the first of their three summer episodes (see schedule below) of “Yappy Hour” – a barkin’ good time for dogs and their humans, with drink specials and treats for both man and man’s best friend alike!
These “Yappy Hours” are part of a larger “Dog Friendly Downtown” initiative started by Sloppy Kisses Treat Boutique for Dogs (425 Broadway – see their website here), which is A free program for tourists and locals to easily identify businesses that allow dogs with this logo:
Participating pooches and their humans enjoyed the picture perfect sunset, and were given a special squishy squeaky treat from Petlou by Sloppy Kisses’ Melanie Dallas, bringing forth a cacophony of howling delight!
Should you have missed last nights episode, don’t put yourself in the doghouse! Yappy hours will return to Peabody’s on July 12 and August 9; and will also wag their flag in the Parting Glass parking lot (40-42 Lake Avenue) on June 28 and July 26 – where presumably, Irish Setters will be the special guests of honor.
