The Backyard at Kraverie was the Place to Be on Thursday to Benefit SOS
SARATOGA SPRINGS – Combine a premium West Side locale (Kraverie – 78 Beekman St. Visit KraverieSaratoga.com), a premium Craft Brewer’s (Bells – the pride of Kalamazoo and Comstock, Michigan) offerings, spectacular evening weather on Thursday, May 11, and a great local cause (Shelters of Saratoga (SOS – visit SheltersOfSaratoga.org/) and you have all the ingredients for a fabulous backyard party!
Bell’s Beer brought a big-boy flight to the party, topped by an extremely limited edition known as Mars Double IPA. Most of the batch goes to high-volume places, the Bell’s people said that Kraverie was the only tavern of it’s size to have it. Aficionados take note: they have only one keg, so when it’s kicked, it’s done. These folks put a nice dent in this and other popular Bell’s offerings including Two-Hearted Ale and Oberon. A portion of all Bell’s sales went to SOS.
Phil Drum’s tunes added a festive soundtrack to compliment the festivities!
Kraverie has scheduled similar events, each with a local beneficiary not-for-profit and beverage brands – befitting an establishment with a stated “…mantra is to nourish the community that nourishes us. By that we mean our restaurants have a strong connection to the communities surrounding us.”

Good times in the Backyard, and a great time was had by all!
