SARATOGA SPRINGS – This morning, Sunday, April 9, inspired by delightful weather, a scheduled promotion at Bailey’s Café (Phila and Putnam Streets – visit BaileysCafe.com) received such an overwhelming response that it had to be moved – one block away – to Congress Park. In this case – forgive the pun, please – it was no ‘stretch’ to say that it paid off to be ‘flexible.’
For flexibility was at the core of the The HIITS, HILLS + HOPS Classic – It was a unique fitness mash-up combining three back-to-back workouts, plus an endorphin-filled after party at Bailey’s… which, given the workout attendees I know – is still going on strong throughout the afternoon, and probably beyond. The funds that were raised are earmarked for Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.
The fast-paced fitness trifecta began with a High Intensity (HIIT) Bootcamp workout, led by Bailey’s Magnate Maggie and her hand-picked Amazonian crew. This was followed by a run, walk and/or crawl at optional (your choice) distances from 1-4 miles, and then a yoga session back at the park that was originally billed as ‘relaxing,’ but was anything but – as the attendees enthusiastically embraced the concept of working up an appetite for the solid/liquid brunch that was to follow back at Bailey’s.
These pics are just a appetizer – look for the full meal of photos at BaileysCafe.com early in the week. Kudos to everyone involved. These type of winning promotions have been something we have come to expect from Bailey’s. With the weather getting warmer, we can only urge you fasten your seat belts – there is no doubt that there will be plenty of creative fun in store from these guys and gals.
