Y Fundraiser Brings Out the Big Hearts of Our Community
SARATOGA SPRINGS – An organization dedicated to your enjoyment of fun and games – The Saratoga Regional YMCA (SRYMCA) – showed that it wasn’t foolin’ around last night, Friday, March 10, as they turned out in full force in support of it’s 2017 Annual Scholarship Campaign Party. The site was the impressive Excelsior Springs ballroom.
SRYMCA Board of Directors President Jason MacGregor noted that this year’s goal was ambitious: a whopping $275,000! Last year they had done $250K, and asked the gathering of about 250 to enjoy themselves, and dig deep. He, along with event Co-chairs Aimee Garrett Taylor and Lynn Pohl, introduced a video provided by Luzerne Productions.
Dig they did – to the sounds of Garland Nelson and Soul Session. Dug deep into the Excelsior’s fine cuisine and beverages. And dug deepest into their hearts (and wallets and purses!) to help those in need to enjoy the twin gifts of health and well-being:
Just how deep they dug shall be revealed shortly when SRYMCA has it’s final totals… However, judging by the size if the collective hearts assembled tonight, I like their chances re: smashing their ambitious goal… Y? Because they Care!
