Ribbon Cutting Tomorrow; Open to Public Friday
SARATOGA SPRINGS – A stunning new showroom, with double their previous space (increasing from 1,500 to 3,000 sq. ft.) and housed in a unique, architecturally pleasing place – with ample parking, awaits you this weekend. That is when dynamic mother/daughter design duo Janet Longe and Jamie Davies will be welcoming everyone to the new 23rd [and Fourth], at 130 Excelsior Avenue.
Everything about this place shouts ‘new’ and ‘improved.’
Beginning with the setting itself, a building that is by no means cookie-cutter; with progressive lines and angles that provide a perfect setting for showcasing luxury residential interior design elements, from floor-to-ceiling room arrangements to accent pieces, such as candles, rugs and window treatments. While the square footage has doubled, the open floor plan affords an exponential expansion of full seating arrangements from two in their original location, up to 10 at this new one. The actual story as to how they found the place is amusing – I’ll let you ask Janet and Jamie when you visit.
Inside, the predominant influence throughout the offerings is said to be Indonesian, yet you will notice elements that will remind you of Africa, other parts of Asia, and Europe. All very metropolitan in its presentation. I personally have already fallen in lust for a blue leather chair, which would be at home in any posh club or man cave. To sit is to believe.
While Janet and Jamie have decades of design experience themselves, they have set-up a designer-friendly fabric library for their colleagues in the industry to explore. This library area resembles a rainbow on steroids, with tens of thousands of possible color, fabric and texture combos that help assure a palette that is uniquely yours, and yours alone.
“…Janet Longe and Jamie Davies approach design in a distinctive way, dovetailing modern lines with traditional elements while utilizing their deliberately diverse arsenal of vendors to serve their clients well.”

Following tomorrow afternoon’s Saratoga County Chamber of Commerce ribbon cutting, 23rd and [Fourth] will be open for business beginning Friday, February 3.
We got our sneak peak during the last few days of taking deliveries, unpacking, and arranging just so. It’s 90 percent done, but I assure you – no one sweats the last 10 percent like experienced interior designers… it appeared to be “doors open ready” today to me; therefore it promises to be perfect for you this weekend and beyond.
A good tip is to drop by this Saturday, as 23rd and [Fourth] will be participating in the 2017 Chowderfest! Next Door Kitchen will be serving up smoked halibut chowder, just the right thing to enjoy in a plush blue leather chair… hmmm.
